Hela is a relational and integrative therapist specializing in trauma-informed mindbody practices, therapy incorporating nature and equines, and neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQIA2+ affirming care. Hela works with teens and adults with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, with a focus on trauma and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, family dynamics, identity exploration, and intercultural lived experiences.
Hela's approach entails a combination of compassionate self-exploration, relational and somatic co-regulation, and resilience building through mutual empowerment. Hela's clinical approach is grounded in: trauma attachment therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, person-centered therapy, relational-cultural therapy, mindbody practices, and ecopsychology. Hela believes that we find joy, relief, and meaning in our lives through mutually-empowering relationships, increased mind-body-nature connection, and radical compassion. ​​
